Other Walks
Aside from day tours to the Glendalough Valley, Walkabout Wicklow offer a range of hill walking, hiking and trekking activities for people of all levels in areas all throughout the Wicklow Mountains.
Here are a few of my favorites:
1. A day in Loch Tay
Level: Beginner/ Intermediate
Hill walk/ hike duration: 3 Hours (But you will be gone for most of the day!)
2. Marching on MaulinLevel: Beginner/ Intermediate
Hill walk/ hike duration: 2.5 Hours (But you will be gone for most of the day!)
Follow a winding track up minor forestry roads, glimpsing spectacular views until you reach a clearing and see the magnificent rocks of Raven's Glen. Higher and higher you walk, over an ancient stone wall, and finally to the summit of Maulin. The views from the top are well worth the climb, with the oddly shaped Sugar Loaf mountain, and the imposing Djouce, both dominating the horizon. If the weather is exceptionally clear you will be rewarded with views of the Welsh mountains. Courtesy pick up and drop off from Dublin City. The drive out to the walk location is a real treat in itself, and it includes a detailed commentary on local history and culture.
Our day tours are Great Value at € 37 for a single booking.
Two people booking together € 35.50 pp.
Full time student discount € 35.50.
