Walkabout Wicklow are now offering Amazing Moonlight Hill Walks

Moonlit landscapes, stunning views, and the peace and tranquility of the mountains. There are all a part of your Walkabout Wicklow full moon experience.

Our next full moonwalk is 14 May 2011 and departs from the Ritz Carlton, Wicklow, at 7 pm, where we will proceed to Cloonwood Carpark and commence our walk at 7.30 pm.

This walk will take in the Dublin Mountains and the Glencullen Valley and is of an intermediate level - 2.5/3 hours in duration. We aim to arrive at the summit at approximately 9pm. At a height of 555 metres the views from the top are well worth the climb. This walk is suitable for beginners to intermediate level and is approximately 6 km in length with a vertical climb of 300 metres. 

A few well earned cleansing ales afterward in McGills Pub (Ritz Carlton), with food, a few drinks and live music.

What to bring

• Boots
• Water
• Torch
• Fleece, hat and gloves.
• Waterproof jacket and pants
• Snack and hot drink

   

   

Hill Walking at night is an experience not to be missed, and if you have never done it before, it is sure to be an experience that you will never forget. Some come on, get fit, get social and get hill walking - and all under the the tranquil glow of the full moon.
